Food Security In Africa

According to the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) on Food Security in Africa. The food insecurity situation on the continent remains dire with over 300 million people being affected, and if not addressed will continue to deteriorate the humanitarian situation in many countries.  Through various projects and humanitarian activities, the ICRC works to address food insecurity on the continent in the areas where they are present, but also to strengthen their engagement with organizations they had not reached out to. The ICRC hopes that the conversation was worthwhile and that it may encourage participants to continue engaging with the ICRC. A number of the organizations present at the meeting are working on similar cross-cutting issues and collaboration could enhance mutual impact.
